BigCommerce is great for large teams. Shopify limits you to 1-15 logins (depending on the plan) while BigCommerce allows unlimited staff accounts
Conclusion:
BigCommerce is better for SEO, product options, and value for money
Shopify is better for its many themes, apps, and integrations
